The Apprenticeship in Sport & Leisure Operations is a one year course.
You will be employed whilst working towards a number of qualifications including an NVQ, Key Skills and 3 technical certificates.
NVQ’s are assessed in the workplace on a competence basis. The technical certificates will be assessed through continual assessment, end of modular tests and presentations.
The course offers you a specialist work-based qualification to support a career in sport and recreation or to progress onto studying for an NVQ level 3 in Sport, Recreation and Allied Occupations or related subjects such as hospitality.
With further training, you could continue to develop your career in sport and recreation by working as a Sport and Exercise Instructor, Trained Lifeguard or working within government to develop sport and recreation.
The course is work based which means you can earn and learn at the same time whilst developing the skills, understanding and knowledge that many employers are looking for. This provides an excellent grounding for progression on to an Advanced Apprenticeship or employment in Leisure Management and Sports Development.
