Our International football program is a first in the UK and is run on a full year basis from Sept-June, or a half year from Jan-June.
Run in partnership with a Premiership Football Club, the program offers students aged 16-20 the opportunity to improve their football skills and their English, if English is not their first language, whilst studying a BTEC Sports qualification tailored specifically to the football program.
Students study either the BTEC Sports Level 2 or BTEC Sports Level 3 depending upon their academic ability, and many students return for a second or third year to complete the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma which provides potential entry into University.
The first two programs have been very successful with 40 students participating from all over the World including North and South America, Africa, Europe, Japan and Australia.
Plans are currently in hand to run short taster sessions in these country’s to promote this successful program, as well as extend the full program to include other sports such as rugby and cricket.
